 Our five-member Governing Board, elected from individuals residing in the community, are entrusted with one of the most important responsibilities assigned to any citizen — that of helping to plan the education of the youth of the community. They are responsible for employing personnel, establishing budgets, determining educational goals and objectives, providing facilities, supplies and equipment, planning for growth, approving curriculum, and policy development.  Our Governing Board members contribute long hours, receive no pay, and face big challenges. They also serve on various District committees, attending local and State meetings that may have an impact on the District. The time commitment is considerable, yet the sense of accomplishment and pride of providing quality education for the children in the community is the reward! Meet our Board Members!

The Governing Board will hold special meetings as needed, with preference given to the fourth Wednesday of each month. In addition to this Web site, we will post all public notices for J.O. Combs Unified School District at the exterior District Office bulletin board. J.O. Combs Unified School District #44 endeavors to make all public meetings accessible to those with disabilities.
