Simonton 4th Graders Visit the Grand Canyon

Combs Performing Arts Center officially named!

At the April 11th Governing Board Meeting, the Combs Performing Arts Center (CPAC) was voted on and approved for the bond approved facility. Shelly Hargis, Governing Board President, shared, “I am excited for our students and our community to benefit from a fully functioning performing arts building. The CPAC will give our programs the venue to raise their talents to a new level. The new building will also give our San Tan Valley residents an opportunity to showcase their programs at home and not have to travel to neighboring districts.”

Updated FAQ Regarding School Closures

Please see the attached FAQ regarding the school closures. However, here are the answers to some common questions:

We do not need to extend the student calendar; and students will not need to make up days missed. State law requires schools to provide either 180 days of instruction or meet the required instructional hours, which all of our schools have met.
Graduation ceremony will not be impacted by the school closures.
All before and after school care and activities will also resume as scheduled beginning tomorrow.
All schools will reopen on Friday, May 4. Schools will reopen for all students at their regularly scheduled time.
