• Advance Placement (AP) Information

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Combs High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For AP exams, students at Combs High School will be registering online. You must register with the Collegeboard AND you must register through “Total Registration” to secure your test. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. This year each AP exam costs $95.00. Combs High School desires that every student be able to take their AP exams.

Students requiring financial assistance should contact Stefanie McDowell (smcdowell@jocombs.org) or visit room 538 to learn more. If you do not qualify for a fee waiver, you can make payments for your test. You will need to make a $40 deposit by the due date and then make a plan to pay the balance.

Online exam registration began on Mon, Aug 12, 2019 at 12:23 am and ended on Fri, Oct 4, 2019 at 12:23 pm. Students should click on the link provided on the school website or visit TotalRegistration.net to register. To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions. Registration is not complete until students have printed the pdf of the confirmation page that is provided at the end. We know that parents may desire to register their students for exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Once you have completed the registration, take your confirmation page to the bookstore and pay. Then bring your receipt to Stefani McDowell in room 538.
