Go to: https://www.jocombs.org/fs/chat
Use your Combs email address and password to log in. (Parent login see FAQ section below)
Once logged in, you’ll see your assigned classes as well as any teams, clubs, or other extracurricular groups you are associated with. These are automatically populated with the teacher, coach, advisor, students, and parents/guardians.
Bookmark the site or pin it to your browser for easy access.

Allow notifications — this will let you receive instant updates and alerts.
Once logged in, you’ll see your assigned chat groups and messages.

FAQ

Use the same email address you use for ParentVUE — the one on file with your child’s school.

Open the desktop or mobile app and tap Sign In.
Enter your email address (ParentVUE email/username) and tap Continue.
On the next screen, tap Forgot password.
Check your inbox for a password reset email. If you don’t see it, check Spam/Junk or Promotions.
Open the email and tap the reset link.
Create a new password, then return to the app and log in with your email and new password.

In the upper right corner, tap the circle with your initials.
From the menu, select “Schools.”
You’ll see a list of schools in the district. Tap to select the schools you want to follow — for example, Combs High School and Harmon Elementary School.
Once selected, you’ll receive news and updates from those schools directly in your app feed.

In the upper right corner, tap the circle with your initials.
From the menu, select “Notifications.”
You’ll see two sections: Important Announcements and Chat Notifications.
- For Important Announcements, tap the gray box to toggle notifications on or off.
- For Chat Notifications, tap the arrow and select your preferred notification setting.
Once your preferences are saved, you’ll receive updates and alerts based on your selections — right in your app feed.

On the home page, tap “Events” at the bottom of the screen.
In the top right corner, tap the three lines (menu icon).
You’ll see a list of available calendars. Tap to select the calendars you want to follow — for example, District and Ranch Elementary School.
Once selected, events and updates from those calendars will automatically appear in your app feed.

Combs Chat includes proactive moderation systems to keep communications appropriate.

Filtering and blocklists are used to detect but are not limited to the list below:
- Profanity
- Toxicity
- Threats or harmful language
- Spam or irrelevant promotional content
- Personal information that shouldn’t be shared
- Obscene or explicit language and content
Some messages can be blocked before sending if they contain disallowed content; others are flagged for admin review
District/school administrators (and in some roles teachers) can review flagged content and take appropriate action
Users can also manually report inappropriate messages directly within the chat interface

Blocked: Messages prevented from being sent due to profanity or clear violations
Flagged: Content that may be inappropriate gets flagged for review by administrators
Review/Action: School or district admins can then decide whether to allow, remove, or take other action on flagged content

If you’re already logged into your school account on your computer, the app may log you in automatically
You can switch between desktop and mobile — all messages stay synced
Messages sent to a Chat Room are delivered to all members of that room (students, parents, and staff included)
Students do not create a new account or use a personal email; only district credentials are permitted.
For parents, use the same email address you use for ParentVue
For privacy, safety, and record keeping, all chat/text communication should remain within the district chat app (no external apps or personal texting)
