Public Notices

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.09 , it is the public policy of this state that meetings of public bodies be conducted openly and that notices and agendas be provided for such meetings which contain such information as is reasonable necessary to inform the public of the matters to be discussed or decided.

We believe that a rigorous curriculum is essential to modern learning. A comprehensive process is exercised when selecting appropriate instructional materials for grade levels and/or courses. Teachers, specialists, administrators, parents, and community partners all have a significant role in defining the criteria for selection and the actual selection process. 

English Language Arts curriculum under consideration will be available for the public to view and comment from January 14, 2025 - March 17, 2025.  Items will be displayed in the Governing Board Room.

The J.O. Combs Unified School District will be hosting curriculum adoption reviews as we work toward Grades 6-12 English Language Arts (ELA) course curriculum adoptions.   All meetings are open to the public.

Meetings are scheduled at the following times:

November 5, 2024, 3:00 – 5:00 pm
 
November 19, 2024, 3:00 – 5:00 pm
